Bellflower (aka Campanula Ambella)

  • Location:

I am from the temperate and sub tropical climates of the Northern hemisphere.
  • Looks:

I am a compact and mound forming plant with mid green coloured leaves and funnel shaped or bell like flowers.
  • Height:

I can grow up to 25cm with a spread of 40cm
  • Environment:

I'm not fussy and do well in most soil types and in partial shade or full sun. I'm great planted in a container.
  • Flowers:

My flowers arrive in Spring and can last until Autumn.
  • Grooming:

Deadhead my flowers as they fade to encourage fresh growth.
  • Life Span:

If winter is not too wet, I can last many years, and my foliage provides colour all year round.
  • Feeding:

No need to water me in the winter months.
  • Fact:

I am often used in 'cottage' style planting schemes.
