House Plant

Air Plant (aka Tillandsia)

  • Location:

My family are from a range of different places, from Southern USA to South America, from the swamps to deserts, mountains or jungles.
  • Looks:

I am usually silvery and with narrow leaves with a felted surface, but I come in a variety of colours.
  • Height:

I come in all shapes and sizes, and in the home I'll be just a couple of inches high and quite slow growing.
  • Environment:

I will perform best in a warm room with bright, indirect light.
  • Flowers:

I may surprise you with a flower when I'm older, but I can't promise anything.
  • Grooming:

I shan't need much maintenance whatsoever.
  • Life Span:

If I flower when I'm older, I'll die afterwards. However my pups will take over and live on.
  • Feeding:

Spritz me with room temperature bottle water once a week, and I'm good.
  • Fact:

Why not fix me to a small log or branch or a decorative shell? If I am a small one try displaying me in an eggcup.
