Succulent

Aloe Haworthia (aka Aloe haworthioides Baker)

  • Location:

    I am native to Madagascar.
  • Looks:

I am a small, fast-growing succulent. I have dense rosettes of fleshy, lance shaped leaves. Each dark green leaf has rubbery white bands running up the outside.
  • Height:

I can grow up to up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall.
  • Environment:

Like most Aloes I like strong bright light all year round. Direct sunlight can make my leaves turn a different colour and might weaken me over time.
  • Flowers:

My orange flowers grow on long stamens which can project up to 30cm from the plant mound.
  • Grooming:

I should not need much grooming, repot me in Spring if I look like i have stopped growing.
  • Life Span:

I can last a long time with the right care.
  • Feeding:

The most important thing is not to overwater me or leave me sitting in water. Please check signs for overwatering regularly.
  • Fact:

The Haworthia is not toxic to animals and people.
