Perennial

Asiatic Primrose (aka Primula capitata ‘Noverna Deep Blue’)

  • Location:

I am native to Nepal and Tibet
  • Looks:

I have green serrated leaves, with 8-10inch silvery green stalks which display my beautiful flowers.
  • Height:

I have a height of 10 inches and spread of 8 inches
  • Environment:

I am perfect for shady and Woodland Gardens, under trees and in a moist spot in a rock garden.
  • Flowers:

I have beautiful round flower heads made up of hundreds of massed bell shaped flowers in a deep blue/violet shade.
  • Grooming:

    Cut me back after flowering.
  • Life Span:

I have a medium growth rate.
  • Feeding:

Plant me in rich, moisture retentive soil and in partial shade. My roots should not be allowed to dry out, so incorporate plenty of organic matter when you plant me, and water regularly
  • Fact:

I am the last in the primula family to flower, which I will do throughout summer and into autumn.
