Calathea Burle Marx (aka Calathea burle-marxii "Blue-Ice")

  • Location:

I am native to Central and South America.
  • Looks:

I was named after Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx, and have gorgeous fish bone markings on my leaves.
  • Height:

I can grow to about 15" in height.
  • Environment:

I like to be in humid and moist conditions, but please don't leave me sitting in water.
  • Flowers:

My foliage is my main attraction.
  • Grooming:

    I won't need much grooming.
  • Life Span:

I can live a long time.
  • Feeding:

I like to be kept moist but am succeptible to leaf burn from Flouride Toxicity. Ideally give me bottled water that does not contain flouride.
  • Fact:

It is disputed as to whether I belong to the Maranta or the Calathea family.
