Chinese Evergreen (aka Aglaonema First Diamond)

  • Location:

I grow wild in the subtropical rainforests of Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
  • Looks:

I have very pretty cream speckled, light green leaves.
  • Height:

I can grow to a height of 6-8"
  • Environment:

In the wild I grow beneath the leaf canopy of larger trees and shrubs, so no direct sun reaches my leaves. I like dappled light.
  • Flowers:

I am know for my beautiful foliage.
  • Grooming:

I won't need much grooming, just remove dead leaves.
  • Life Span:

I can live a long time.
  • Feeding:

I like to be watered thoroughly in the summer. Mist me often to raise the humidity. During the winter, reduce watering but do not let me dry out completely.
  • Fact:

The darker green varieties of aglaonema can grow in near shade, while the variegated varieties require brighter light.
