Crocodile Fern (aka Microsorum musifolium ‘Crocodyllus’ )

  • Location:

I am originally from New Guinea & Malaysia
  • Looks:

I have mid green fresh looking fronds that resemble that of a crocodile’s skin
  • Height:

I am a fast grower and can grow up to 2m tall
  • Environment:

Like most ferns I like low levels of light or indirect sunlight. A northern or Eastern facing windowsill will provide the best exposure
  • Flowers:

    I don't have any flowers
  • Grooming:

Take off any unsightly leaves as required and trim off crowded fronds to encourage air flow and reduce the chance of fungal infections
  • Life Span:

I can last a long time - just plant me up each year into a bigger pot
  • Feeding:

I like plenty of water, water me whenever my soil feels dry to touch, but make sure I have adequate drainage
  • Fact:

I am an epiphyte which means in my natural surroundings I grow on trees
