House Plant

Fiddle Leaf Fig (aka Ficus ‘Lyrata’ )

  • Location:

I am originally from Western Africa.
  • Looks:

I have mid-dark green large leaves, of all of different sizes. they are oval in shape and leathery in texture.
  • Height:

If you look after me I can grow up to 3m tall with a spread of 1m
  • Environment:

I can take time adjusting to a new environment, so be patient. My ideal living arrangement is a warm and humid room with as much indirect light as possible.
  • Flowers:

I don’t have any flowers, but impressive leaf veins instead.
  • Grooming:

Keep me well trimmed and cut off any damaged leaves and twigs when you see them.
  • Life Span:

I can last a really long time and grow super tall if looked after properly.
  • Feeding:

Let the top of my soil dry out before watering me, however don’t let me have long stretches of being dry or too damp. Please mist me lots, it keeps me fresh.
  • Fact:

When I grow in the wild I grow on other trees. As I grow I will send my roots down to the ground to strangle and kill my host tree, very alien-esque.
