Hanging Hearts (aka Ceropegia Woodii)

  • Location:

I am native to South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe.
  • Looks:

My romantic heart shaped leaves grow in pairs on stems that trail
  • Height:

For me it's a length thing... incredibly I can reach 2-4 Meters in length
  • Environment:

I like bright light (with some direct sun) for best color and plenty of leaves.
  • Flowers:

I have really dramatic flowers which grow to about 3cm in length. The corolla or tube like flower is magenta and white, with 5 deep purple petals at the tip.
  • Grooming:

Keep me trimmed to promote bushy growth. I don't need much though.
  • Life Span:

I will give you pleasure all year round.
  • Feeding:

Keep my soil lightly moist in spring and summer. Water me sparingly in Autumn and winter. Let me dry out between watering. Careful not to overwater me.
  • Fact:

I am also known as the Rosary vine. I am pet friendly but may be highly fascinating to cats, so place me in a high position to avoid mauling.
