I have dark green oval shaped leaves decorated with fine white lines and white delicate flowers.
I can grow up to 20-30cm with usually a larger spread. My flower spikes at times will double my height.
Avoid putting me in direct sunlight as in my natural habitat I grow in shady places. Having said that I don’t like gloomy rooms either, filtered light is key. I don’t like the temperature around me to be less than 10degrees.
Large flowering spikes will shoot out of the top of my plant stems in Autumn.
Remove my flowers as they fade. If you would prefer me to grow more foliage and are not interested in my flowers then pluck out my flower spikes as they start to shoot as this will redirect my energy to grow more leaves.
I can last a really long time, if looked after properly. Plant me up each year into a bigger pot to see me grow.
I like to be damp. Don’t let me dry out or equally leave me sitting in water. I am also partial to an occasional mist of water.
