Mountain Daisy (aka Arenaria montana)

  • Location:

    I am native to mountainous regions of southwestern Europe
  • Looks:

    I am an evergreen plant, forming matts of small green leaves and pretty white flowers with 5 petals.
  • Height:

    My heigh at maturity is 10cm and my spread is half a meter.
  • Environment:

    I like full sun or partial shade.
  • Flowers:

    I produce an abundance of cup-shaped white flowers with striking yellow centres during early summer.
  • Grooming:

    No pruning required.
  • Life Span:

    It takes me 2-5years to reach maturity.
  • Feeding:

    I love a moist, free draining soil - water well until I am established.
  • Fact:

    I am easily grown in rock garden or in a crevice in a wall or paving. I grow best on poor sandy soils.
