Perennial

Mr Mosquito (aka Sarracenia)

  • Location:

I am from the wilds of the United States of America
  • Looks:

I have a central tube, which is super decorative and attracts the doomed insects! My flowers are really quite surprising too and look like a green daffodil
  • Height:

    20-25cm generally
  • Environment:

I can cope with a very sunny position, as long as my moisture needs are taken care of!
  • Flowers:

My flower spikes appear during the spring
  • Grooming:

My 'pitchers' may brown off and die from time to time, just snip off and I shall be happy
  • Life Span:

I can last for many years with the right care
  • Feeding:

I don't need fertiliser because I get my feed from the insects I trap, but make sure I am moist at all times, do this by standing my container in a tray of water and top it up daily. Also if it is raining outside, you can put me outside to collect that too
  • Fact:

My pitchers have such a tempting, narcotic drug that my prey slips into my tube and can never get back out!
