House Plant

Shark's Fin Sansevieria (aka Sansevieria masoniana 'Victoria')

  • Location:

I am native to Africa and was originally collected in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
  • Looks:

I am a mono-phyllic species. In the wild I grow in clumps, but in this case I am a single rigid pyramid of green. I have a large surface area with dappled markings and a surrounding band of brown.
  • Height:

I can reach approx 3ft in height.
  • Environment:

I like bright filtered light, but am also quite forgiving and can cope with low light conditions for a while.
  • Flowers:

I am not known for the beauty of my flowers, but I may surprise you with one.
  • Grooming:

    No grooming required. Just admire!
  • Life Span:

I can live a long time with the right care.
  • Feeding:

Only water when the soil is completely dried out, in Winter approximately once every 2 months. Please dont overwater me.
  • Fact:

I am great for clearing formaldehyde from the air, I also give off oxygen at night, so I am handy to have in the bedroom.
