Weeping Fig (Anastasia) (aka Ficus benjamina Anastasia)

  • Location:

    I am a a species of flowering plant in the family Moraceae, native to Asia and Australia.
  • Looks:

    I have delicate branches with small drooping leaves. My leaves are a rich green, with lighter green shading round the edges.
  • Height:

    I can eventually grow to a height of 2m
  • Environment:

    I like to be warm, no lower that 55℉, so avoid placing me in drafts. I will also not take direct sunlight, bright shade is best.
  • Flowers:

    I am unlikely to flower in the home environment.
  • Grooming:

    I won't need much pruning. I keep my tree like form as I grow.
  • Life Span:

    I reach maturity after 10 years.
  • Feeding:

    I like humid conditions but beware of overwatering me. Place me on a tray of moist pebbles for optimal humidity. Fertilize once a month in the spring and summer and once every two months in Autumn and winter.
  • Fact:

    I am a challenging plant to grow, and can be suseptible to leaf drop in the wrong conditions. But persevere and I will reward you.
